Welcome To Noel Bear
A warm welcome to my homepage - Thanks for visiting!
Firstly, let me introduce myself: I’m Noel, a small Cornish Bear, who loves adventure and travel, not to mention solving the odd mystery…and believe me, I’ve certainly had some interesting and exciting adventures…but more of that later.
How to describe myself? Well, I have a wicked sense of humour, suffer from vertigo and can be accident-prone, having survived several mishaps which I can laugh at now but which were pretty fur-raising at the time!
My trusty rucksack is my most prized possession; it’s a bit like the Tardis, holding all manner of useful bits & pieces which have come in very handy in getting me out of scrapes. As a former Bear Scout, I believe in the old adage – “be prepared”.
My hobbies? Well, I love art, play guitar in a local band, “Bear Essentials”.We have a lot of fun but don’t think we’d make it to the X Factor!
I also meet up with a few surfing buddies to catch a wave or two…providing of course that our rather dilapidated ‘surfmobile’ makes it to the beach!
We also love to catch the odd wave – when our battered surf-mobile makes it to the beach.
I love to cook and am never happier than when I’m in the kitchen; in fact, I once went to my Dad’s audition for “Britain’s Best Dish” in Cardiff as sous-chef – in my best Chef’s whites. Sadly, we didn’t get to the live shows, but it was an amazing experience – at least I have the photos!
I also met my culinary hero AWT, at a food festival in Porthleven and had my photo taken with him - he even pawtographed one of his cookery books for me!
I’m fiercely proud of Cornwall and my heritage: I’m a great supporter of our Cornish Pirates rugby team…in fact all things Cornish…what a beautiful County...so why do I travel?
Hmm. Where adventure leads, I follow. My motto is “The Bear who dares wins!” A friend in need, to me, is not a pest. That’s how I became involved in two intriguing mysteries and came to write my first two novels, in pawtnership with my co-author, L.J.Kay…but more of that on the next page!
I hope that Bear lovers of all ages will be amused, entertained and most of all intrigued enough by my stories to want to solve the clues for themselves. If so, please read on….

What’s New
*Noel Bear's "Paws for Thought" for February....
I read today that the Americans have developed a 'bacon' flavour ice cream. Since their bacon doesn't taste of bacon, I shudder at the thought!
